The Maxwell Planner Preview
One of Raleigh’s newest wedding venues, The Maxwell, opened this spring and I had the wonderful opportunity of being part of several events taking place there as part of the grand opening. The first official event hosted at the venue was the Planner Preview Brunch. All of the wedding planners on The Maxwell’s preferred planner list were invited to spend the early afternoon touring the venue, chatting with fellow planners, and munching on the tasty goodness of HL Catering.
I had the pleasure of designing some menu cards, a fabric vendor sign, and an invitation suite for this beautiful day! For the menus I wanted to incorporate different textures and mediums, so I did a soft pink handmade paper backing with the menu printed on vellum, which was then attached to the menu with twine and a blush wax seal. Menus truly are a work of art and can be so much more than just a piece of paper!
For the invitation suite I continued the fresh, spring vibe with pinks! I did an ombre effect with the invitation suite paper and am so thrilled with how it turned out. The envelope liner incorporated a fine art painting from the public domain and it complemented everything so well. The invitation suite was letterpressed, including a blind pressed flower on the main invitation card - I want to blind press everything now! Enough about all of the details though, check out Alaina Ronquillo’s beautiful photos!
