Living Room Reveal
When I was in high school I wanted to be an interior designer, but then accounting seemed like a safe choice in college, and well now here I am as a wedding stationer, so I guess I found my way into a creative career anyway! I was a really cool kid since my favorite shows in elementary school were Trading Spaces and While You Were Out, and then in middle school I loved Design on a Dime and Divine Design, and then of course much later came Fixer Upper and Home Town which I am pretty much obsessed with. With all that said, interior design is becoming somewhat of a hobby now that we have moved into a home that we see our family in for a while and I have had the best time making it our own!
My favorite color is blue - no surprise there if you take a look around my website or Instagram for more than 10 seconds. And I love that blue is a calming color, so I knew I wanted it to be the main driver in our home design. My inspiration words for our new space were natural, clean, calm, and classic. I’m also a big fan of cozy minimalism - you need this book if you have no idea what I’m talking about - and I tried to incorporate some of those main principles into our living and dining spaces.
Several weeks back I did a poll on Instagram to see who might be interested in a post about my home decor after sharing a few photos and it was a resounding yes! So first up is the living room design! Now I’m no photographer, so bear with me here, but I tried to capture so that you could see everything.
