3 Reasons to Send Holiday Cards
There are so many things I love about the Holiday season, and sending Christmas cards ranks very highly on the list. So does wrapping presents. I like to get my shopping done as early as possible in December so that I can wrap them and look at them sitting under the tree all pretty for the majority of the month. Anyone else? I also check the mail even more obsessively (if that's possible) this time of year because I'm hopeful every day will contain a Christmas card that we can open and put up on our display board.
Now, I know not everyone is on board with Christmas and Holiday cards so today I'm giving you three reasons why you should send Holiday cards to friends and family!
1 | Keep up with those near and far
It seems that so many of us are spread out all over the country and world now, and don't get to see each other that often. If you send a photo Christmas card then your friends and family get to see how your family has changed, and have a keepsake if they choose (and decorate with!). You also stay up to date on where they live and their actual addresses. Now, yes I know people can see updates on Facebook and Instagram, but it's not the same I promise - a card means so much more than a like or message on Facebook.
2 | Spread some holiday cheer
People get so stressed out around the holidays and sometimes forget that it is a time to be thankful and cheerful. Show your friends and family that you love them and care for them, and spread some happiness with a handwritten card or your pretty faces on cardstock. Don't wait for the cheer to find you, but rather be the one that spreads some cheer!
3 | Connect on a more personal level
You don't have to just send cards to your family and close friends, but can also reach out to new friends or coworkers. Life is meant to be done in community, not isolation, so even a small gesture like sending a Christmas card can foster a closer connection with someone and you may find you have something in common based on a simple photo - do they have a Golden Retriever? So do you!
I hope this Holiday season you will send and receive lots of joy through the mailbox! If you aren't even sure where to begin, I would love to help you create your Christmas cards and walk you through the joyful experience step by step.
