Your wedding day is about celebrating with those dearest to you, and your invitations ensure they have all the details they need!
And more than just being absolutely gorgeous, your invitations should reflect you as a couple - think the lighthouse where he proposed, all the Saturdays spent wine tasting, or the nights dancing to Dave Matthews Band. Now those are the details we want to include, and I certainly believe details matter!
the process
1 | Inquire
If you are interested in custom wedding invitations, please inquire via the Contact page! I will reach out with more information within 1-2 business days, and then we will chat on the phone about all of your ideas so that I can curate your custom proposal.
2 | Reserve Your Spot
I take a limited number of custom wedding invitation clients each month, so in order to reserve your spot on my design calendar a 50% retainer is due upfront along with signing the contract - then we are all set to begin the fun part!
3 | Lookbook and Design
To kick off the design process I will send you a design questionnaire and a wording details questionnaire. Using those I will put together your own custom lookbook complete with an inspiration board, color palette, and sketches of the design direction I am envisioning for you. You will provide feedback on the lookbook, and once we get it just right I will design your entire suite! We will go through three revision rounds of your suite to make sure you are completely in love!
4 | Printing and Production
Once you are absolutely smitten with your suite I will begin the printing and production process so we can get your suite into your hands and most importantly, into your guests’ hands! If you are local to Raleigh we can meet in person to gush over your invitations, or if you are located elsewhere I will package them up nice and pretty to be delivered right to your door!
investment
The minimum investment for custom design is $1,000. Although the average Ivy + Linen Design Co. bride spends $2,500 to $4,000 on her custom wedding stationery. For more detailed information on the investment, please download the custom wedding invitation experience guide!
timeline
Please allow 6-8 weeks for completion of your custom suite - this is 6-8 weeks before you desire to send out your invitations, so if you intend to send your invitations 3 months before your wedding, we will begin your suite 4-6 months in advance.
Save the Dates are typically sent no later than 6 months before your wedding. Please allow 3 weeks for design and production of your Save the Dates (4 weeks if incorporating letterpress).
Day-of items will have a quicker turnaround due to the nature of the timing of receiving your details. For non-guest specific items like menus and programs, please allow 3 weeks for design and production. For guest specific items like place cards I will need your guest list and assignments no later than 2 weeks before your wedding date.
