Styled Shoot at Old Homestead Farm

Styled Shoot at Old Homestead Farm

Earlier this month I was involved in a styled photo shoot at a new wedding venue near Wilmington, NC called Old Homestead Farm! My friend Chelsea of Chelsea Allegra Photography coordinated and styled the whole shoot with an amazing team of vendors. Chelsea and I actually went to high school together, so it has been such a joy to reconnect and cheer each other on with our businesses. Despite the cold, this boho inspired styled shoot came together beautifully.

Chelsea reached out in December and asked if I would be willing to put together a wedding invitation suite for the shoot and I of course said yes! Working on wedding invitations is one of my big goals for 2019, so I knew this was the perfect way to jump start that. She sent over a Pinterest mood board for the shoot so I would have an idea of the vibe for the day and then I started sketching out ideas and bringing them to life.

Even though the venue is about 2 hours from Raleigh I wanted to go and be a part of the day, so I packed up my styling supplies and invitation suite and went to Rocky Point for the afternoon of the shoot. Thankfully the invitation styling took place inside, so I didn't have to brave the cold unlike the others! Seeing it all come together was so much fun, and I hope you enjoy some of the photos from the shoot!

3 Things I Learned in My First Year of Business

This week marks the one year anniversary of the official launch of Ivy + Linen Design Co. and what a year it has been. I started out the year thinking I would mostly be a shop owner who does some custom work on the side and you know maybe eventually will get into weddings once I feel like I know what I'm doing. Oh how so much can change so quickly!
