2019 Merrimon-Wynne Summer Bridal Showcase

Y'all. The 2019 Summer Bridal Showcase at the Merrimon-Wynne House in downtown Raleigh was incredible. I had the honor of being part of the Main House team where Stephanie Shaul planned the most amazing Old World Palm Beach Elegance design. We did some fun big signage - hello Burrata Bar sign and fabric Signature Drink sign! And I had the best time designing an invitation suite with fun elements like vellum and wax seals that said "Hi, I'm inviting you into Palm Beach Elegance for the day" (or at least that's what I think they would say).

But really this post doesn't need many words because you just need to see all the beauty that Adelyn Boling captured so fabulously. It was an incredible day meeting so many brides and other local wedding vendors. I'm still smiling thinking about it! Now to all the gorgeous photos…

If you are hardcore 'Christmas shouldn't come until after Thanksgiving' then you are probably even more perturbed that I'm talking about Holiday cards in October. BUT hear me out! In order to have your cards in the mailbox in December there is a bit of planning ahead involved.

3 Things I Learned in My First Year of Business

This week marks the one year anniversary of the official launch of Ivy + Linen Design Co. and what a year it has been. I started out the year thinking I would mostly be a shop owner who does some custom work on the side and you know maybe eventually will get into weddings once I feel like I know what I'm doing. Oh how so much can change so quickly!

Three Typical Invitation Wording Styles
Three Typical Invitation Wording Styles

One of the most frequent concerns my brides have is how in the world to word their wedding invitations! Do you keep it very traditional and old school, or should you add some modern flair and only include your first names? The good news is that nowadays there is not really a "right" or "wrong" way to do it - sure, there are some guidelines that can be helpful so you aren't making up all the wording yourselves, but it is your wedding day and your invitations should reflect you and your wedding style.
